Why am I seeing multiple shipping charges?

Every vendor has their own business, their own policies and their own prices. Products are shipped directly from their hands to you. Shipping charges are set up and collected by each individual vendor to pay for their cost to send their item to you.

Why does it say my address doesn’t exist?

The vendor you are attempting to buy from has not set up shipping to your location. Please contact them directly to inquire.

Why join Ottawa Handmade?

You get to be a part of something amazing!! Our goal is to create a central hub to connect customers with you. You get your own online store, comparable to Shopify with the bonus of an established customer base; everyone who comes to OttawaHandmade.com is looking specifically for locally, handmade goods.

What are the fees?

The cost to you is $10/month paid as an annual lump sum of $120. There is no commission collected on your sales, you keep 100% of your sales. All online sales are subject to Paypal’s banking fees.

What is included in a membership?

Your own online store, access to our events management system, and marketing services are all included in your membership. You will also be invited to join our Facebook Buy & Sell group where you will be free to promote your products and events.

How do I get paid?

Monies earned (All sales revenue less PayPal’s transaction fees) are paid out weekly on Mondays.  You can choose to be paid via paypal or etransfer.

How is Ottawa Handmade promoted?

Most of our advertising is done via social media. We also regularly print postcard flyers for vendors to have on their tables at events.
